Introductory Class

This is a very popular class and fills quickly. This class is not mandatory to join, however we highly recommend you take our Introductory Class prior to joining the club. What you learned 20 years ago may no longer be applicable today, as the clay and glazes are subject to changes and advancements.

Ceramics is an art form that encourages creative exploration and self-expression, from the selection of your mold to the glazing of your finished product. Crafting clay by hand can be a therapeutic experience, providing an escape from the pressures of everyday life.

The SaddleBrooke Ceramics Club provides a supportive and inclusive community for like-minded individuals to connect and form lasting friendships. Whether it’s through attending workshops, sharing ideas, or participating in group exhibitions, club members can interact with fellow artists who share their passion for ceramics.

Students learn how to clean greenware, use underglazes and crystals, and other introductory techniques.  Our fee for 2024 is $75 (for 2 days) and includes all greenware, paints, glazes and firing of projects as well as a Starter Kit. In 2024, the Introductory classes will be held February, March and April, September and October. See class schedule below.

You must register for the class in person. Please visit our Ceramics Studio to register and pay for the dates you have chosen. You may pay by cash or check (made out to SaddleBrooke Ceramics Club). Registration deadline for all classes is 2 weeks prior to the class start date. You’ll receive an email/text to remind you of your class, as well as other pertinent information.

We look forward to seeing you!
