INTRODUCTORY CLASSES
Have you ever wanted to try ceramics but weren’t sure where to begin? The SaddleBrooke Ceramics Club makes it easy with our popular Introductory Class Series, designed especially for beginners. No experience is necessary—we’ll provide everything you need to get started.
Each class series consists of two class days, scheduled one week apart to allow time for your projects to be fired between sessions. The class fee is $75, and participants should plan to attend both classes to complete their projects and enjoy the full experience.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll receive hands-on instruction in the fundamentals of ceramics, including cleaning greenware, applying glazes, and creating beautifully finished pieces. Our experienced instructors and friendly volunteers will guide you through each step of the process in a relaxed and supportive environment.
What’s Included?
Your $75 class fee includes:
- Class size is limited to just 10 students, ensuring plenty of personalized instruction and one-on-one guidance.
- Two class projects: a decorative Fetish Bear, designed to teach a variety of glazing techniques, and a 6″ × 6″ ceramic tile where you’ll learn how to transfer any design to a bisque piece to create a beautiful decorative piece.
- A starter toolkit with cleaning tools, glaze brushes, and accessories
- A convenient tool bag to keep everything organized
- All materials, supplies, firing, and instruction
